How the 'Global Hit Counter' works ?

The 'Global Hit Counter' increases depending
on the increment type you selected. The 'Page Load' type increments the
counter each time the page is loaded. The 'Unique Visitor' type increments
the counter on unique visitors only. It will increment for a repeat
visitor only after 24 hours.

How the 'Daily Hit Counter' works ?

The 'Daily Hit Counter' works in the same
way that the 'Global Hit Counter' at the difference it is re-initialized
to 0 every day at 00:00 (GMT+1). Also, this counter keeps the
yesterday's value that you can see in a mini pop-up by positioning the
pointer over the counter.

How the 'Live Counter' works
?

The 'Live Counter' keeps track of unique
visitors by remembering their IP addresses. A user is considered online
during 5 minutes. Also, you have the possibility to know where your
current visitors come from in a mini pop-up by positioning the pointer
over the counter. For example if you get [FR:3 | IT:2 | DE:1], you
have 3 French, 2 Italians and 1 German on your site. You will find the
code lists for countries here.

Do your counters bring
adverts onto my website ?

Yes, if you enable the 'Pop-up' option in
the administration page of your counter. The advert is a little pop-up with
a link towards www.dominocounter.net and appears once a week only.

Can I propose a new digit
style ?

Yes, you can propose a new digit style but
you have to be the author. Send it in a zip file to .
Here are some recommandations:
- Provide an image per numeral and name them 0.gif to 9.gif
- The file format must be GIF (you can use transparency and create an
animation if needed)
- All the numerals must be the same size with a maximum size of 40 x 40
pixels
- An image at the left (left.gif) and/or at the right (right.gif) is
authorized and the height must be equal to the height of the numerals
- Specify the name of the style and the address of your website if you
own one
Note that your digit style will not necessarily be accepted if Domino
Counter thinks it is not compatible with the philosophy of the site.
